Lessons.

Bass is feel first. We teach groove, time and pocket from day one, then layer in the technique and theory that lets a bassist anchor any ensemble.

Whether you're playing roots in a worship band, walking changes in a jazz combo, or holding down a heavy rock kit, we'll build the vocabulary you need and the right hand to play it cleanly.

Our students learn to listen first, then play. By the end of the first month most are sitting in on a tune with their teacher and following along by ear.

• Fingerstyle and pick technique
• Slap and pop, palm muting, ghost notes
• Walking bass lines and chord-tone targeting
• Reading bass charts and lead sheets
• Major, minor and pentatonic scales across the neck
• Locking with the drummer (timing and feel)
• Equipment, tone and amp basics

What to bring.

Your bass, cable and tuner. A small headphone amp helps for home practice.
